There is an old maxim about the
cobbler’s children having no shoes.
The point? The cobbler is
so busy at work producing and repairing the shoes of his customers that he
cannot take any time to make sure that his own children have decent footwear.Today it’s a phenomenon where people who are successful at doing something don't demonstrate that in their own personal lives.
Actually, I am so busy working at my full time job and
creating Piccadilee Daydream treasures for customers in my free time that I
very rarely make something for me or my family members. Shame on me.
My story is that I have always wanted to draw, paint, sew and create since I was a very little
girl. Finally when my two girls were raised and out on their own I
started to live my dream...and began to draw, paint, sew and create! My experiments
were gifts mostly for my grandkids. So very often they would receive one of Gama's
creations made especially for them. Not so much these days. So around Christmas time I was bound and
determined to make them something special as gifts. The truth is I ran out of time! But it actually
worked out better. During the holidays
the grands stay with us for about a week.
So while they were with us they got to help me design exactly what they
wanted.
And here they are…
